Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager - Aberdeen, this role is responsible for the leadership and management of the Gateway Warehouse and the Total Albert Quay ASCO Team. The successful candidate will oversee all warehousing activities, including operational planning, people management, facilities oversight, and effective resource allocation, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations.
Key responsibilities include:
•Ensuring Company objectives are known, understood and communicated to Operational teams.
•Offer operational support to, and cover for, ASCO employees at Warehouse and Quayside as required.
•Lead relevant operational transitions and lead on all aspects of the associated Management of Change
•Responsible for management of all ASCO personnel on site, ensuring suitable operational cover in all disciplines.
•Overseeing the training needs and the delivery of accredited and relevant training to all employees, to meet current, emerging, and professional development plan requirements.
•Develop, maintain, and update succession plans for all roles to promote growth and development in the team.
•Working closely with the key internal personnel manage client expectations and relationships.
•Responsible for planning and managing third party work activity on site. Extensive knowledge required of Risk Assessments / Method Statements with the ability to review documentation for compliance purposes. Prepare Work permits on client system. Deliver training to contractor work party / permit holders.
•Driving HSSEQ and Operational performance and efficiencies while identifying improvement opportunities.
•Ensure adherence to all relevant procedures, legislative requirements, and industry standards.
•Lead investigations of service failures/incidents/accidents and maintain a robust and auditable system.
•Work closely with both client and ASCO Safety Advisors during any incident investigation or safety initiative to effect timeous and positive results.
•Operate as a key user role with client Safety Systems (Synergi / Safety Observations). Ensure that all Safety related Actions are completed on time. Active participation and contribution to site safety ‘Deal’ and ‘Safety Observation’ initiative.
•Serving as a champion for HSSEQ objectives and report HSSEQ KPIs and scorecard for each operation.

•Experience in supply Chain and Logistics & a detailed understanding of H&S Legislation.
Minimum Qualifications
Full UK driving licence
IOSH Managing Safely
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
Degree level education
Membership of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
Lean Six Sigma qualification
