Reporting to the Freight Forwarding Manager, the Project Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and executing end‑to‑end logistics solutions for complex and high‑value customer projects, including over‑dimensional, heavy‑lift, and time‑critical shipments. The role combines operational freight forwarding activities with project management discipline, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost‑effective transport solutions. The position requires excellent coordination skills, customer focus, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in dynamic and demanding environments. Key duties include:
•Manage end-to-end multimodal, heavy-lift, OOG, and project cargo operations from planning to delivery.
•Coordinate freight forwarding activities, including bookings, documentation, customs, and carrier relations.
•Lead tendering, rate negotiations, and supplier performance in line with HSEQ and cost targets.
•Conduct route and site surveys, ensuring full legal, safety, and environmental compliance.
•Oversee execution, budgets, and customer communication, providing clear leadership and timely decisions.
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
•Minimum 5 years of experience in project logistics, heavy‑lift, or complex multimodal forwarding.
•Proven experience in managing international transport operations and project execution.
•In depth knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.
•Strong analytical, planning, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
•Proficient in ERP/TMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
•Excellent communication, stakeholder management and teamwork capabilities
•Demonstrated resilience under pressure, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement and results delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
