We now have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join ASCO Group as a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal and Compliance function which supports ASCO's business in the UK and internationally.
Candidates for this role should be legally qualified and have a current practicing certificate from the Law Society of Scotland or the Law Society of England and Wales and be at the 5 years+ PQE level in a corporate or commercial environment, either in-house or in private practice. Contract qualification and review is a key part of this role and candidates should be able to demonstrate strong capability in this area. Knowledge of LOGIC type contracts would be required.
Other aspects of the role will include supporting business units in respect of legal and compliance related matters so a working knowledge of matters such as GDPR, ABC, Sanctions Compliance and Data Protection would be an advantage.
The role will also support Group activities such as Insurance renewals, M&A and financing exercises in conjunction with external advisers and will report to the Group General Counsel. This role may also involve managing other team members.
Minimum Qualifications
•English or Scots Law Qualification as a Solicitor.
