Reporting to the Focal Point, the Senior Material Operative will develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts to assist with the efficient operation of the PO receipts, storage, maintenance and preparation for shipment functions in line with agreed procedures. Key responsibilities include:
•Act as a client contact point for users both onshore and offshore, responding quickly and accurately to issues/queries raised.
•Inventory management focusing on processing work orders, stock movements, returns, items for repair and scrap disposals.
•Coordinate work orders for shipping with the sailing schedule, ensuring timely processing.
•Arrange transportation, inspection, repair or relocation of inventory where required.
•Deliver stock accuracy through operation of the SAP system.
•Stock counting of inventory held, investigating discrepancies highlighted by the process.
•Through a deep understanding of the entire operation bring resilience to the team providing coverage and support across the operation.
•Working collectively with direct reports and wider team, try to identify improved ways of working, learning from previous mistakes or from trends of non-conformance.
•Work closely with both customer and vendors to create scheduling of deliveries into warehouse, delivery slots and reallocate resource in line with priorities.
•Build strong working relationships with key clients, particularly focusing on key stakeholders.
•Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships between internal and external stakeholders, and between operational sites.
•Follow up in a professional manner any customer questions, queries or tasks within timescales identified.
•Personal responsibility for undertaking LSI's.
•When on duty conduct toolbox talks with the team.
•Ensure excellent housekeeping is always maintained across the site, with clear segregation between people and plant.
•Deputise for focal point when required.
•Respond to any base emergency situation as directed by Material & Inventory Manager during silent hours and in compliance with the base Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

Minimum Qualifications
Standard Grades/ National 5 (or equivalent)
Current Forklift License
Dangerous Goods by Sea (IMDG)/AIR (IATA)
