We are currently seeking a fully qualified Shunter to operate on a Monday - Friday dayshift schedule out of Aberdeen Quayside. Competitive basic rates are available along with a range of attractive benefits and 6.6 weeks of paid annual leave. Guaranteed 45 hours per week with fully paid breaks to be taken in line with Legislative Requirements of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive. Duties include:
•Carry out daily trailer checks and identify trailers for the garage.
•Be the main Transport focal point at quayside and offer assistance where required.
•Keep the Quays clear of cargo where practicable by ensuring the cargo is put onto trailers and moved off the Quay.
•Operate vehicles in a safe and effective manner to minimise the risk of injury or damage to other vehicles and property.
•Perform daily safety and maintenance checks through the driver's app.
•Advise Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
•Ensure vehicles and equipment are safely and securely stored.
•Carriage of Dangerous Goods in line with ADR regulations
•Supervise and distribute straps and ratchets and keep a log.
•Supply drivers with gloves and consumables if necessary.
•Daily yard checks and report to controllers
•Measure and check abnormal loads i.e. widths and lengths type of load to office.
•Accept, start and complete all relevant deliveries and collections using the Transport Management System (TMS) via the ASCO APP on the vehicle phone.
•To work in conjunction with the Quayside squads to ensure a safe and efficient operation at all times
•On road driving as and when required.

Minimum Qualifications
•LGV C+E licence
•Certificate of Professional Competence Card
•ADR licence
•Digi Tachograph Card
