LGV Driver - Environmental (Job ID: 1754)

We are currently seeking a fully qualified LGV Driver to operate on a Monday - Friday dayshift schedule. Some nights out may be required. Successful applicants will be required to carry out various LGV disciplines safely and efficiently to include waste vacuum road tankers and curtain sided vehicles. Holding an LGV C+E Licence, Certificate of Professional Competence Card and an ADR Dangerous Goods by Road certificate with tanks, you will be fully conversant with all LGV driving regulations and legislation.
Roles and Responsibilities
•Distance tanker operations ensuring safe handling and transportation of a wide range of hazardous materials and products
•Operation of curtain sided vehicle
•Inspection and maintenance of associated accessories and equipment including pumps, valves, tanks, vessels, hoses and couplings
•Completion and processing of all relevant customer and regulatory paperwork
•Ensure that all activity is co-ordinated in accordance with relevant company guidelines and statutory regulations
•Attend team brief / safety meetings as required
•Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained with all areas of responsibility
Minimum Qualifications
•Class LGV C+E Licence
•Certificate of Professional Competence Card
•ADR Dangerous Goods by Road Certificate with tanks

•Maintains positive work relationships
•Up to date knowledge of changes in road traffic laws
•Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team.
•Customer focused and the ability to build and maintain effective relationship, both internal and external
•Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
•Able to wear Respiratory Protection Equipment.
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
•Experience of road tanker operations including the transport and safe handling of flammable/corrosive/toxic materials
•Thorough understanding of waste documentation and special waste handling
•Thoroughly familiar with relevant safety procedures for tanker and waste operations
