Reporting to the Quayside Operations Manager and working to a 7 days on/7 days off shift pattern, this role is responsible for operation of the crane to lift cargo and load/unload vessels and lift cargo in yard in a timely and safe manner in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations industry best practice and company procedures. Duties include:
•Operate the crane at the quayside or other designated areas.
•Operate crane only to company HSSEQ safe working practice, manufacturer's advised guidelines and ASCO Global Lifting Procedures.
•Operate crane only under direction of a designated and clearly identified Banksman
•Conduct daily checks and complete associated compliance documentation.
•Assist Fitter as and when required in the maintenance of crane.
•Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, in accordance with ASCO Global Operating Procedure and Global Lifting Procedure.
•Ensure that Global Lifting Procedure, standing instructions and safety standards are always complied with.
•Take part in effective LiveSafe conversations before commencement of job task and/or when conditions change.
•Regularly review procedures, work aids and risk assessments
•Conduct LiveSafe Interventions (LSI) and record for inclusion on base scorecard.
•Attend and contribute to monthly safety meetings.
•Ensure the correct use of Forklifts and Lifting equipment as set out in legislative and procedural policy; If authorised to carry out lifting activities (Forklift Operations / Banksman & Slinger duties), ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Company's Group Operating Procedures and Global Lifting Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
•CPCS Competent Person card/NPORS certificate / Stage 3 offshore Crane Operator Certificate
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
•LGV Class 2 Licence
