Logistics Controller - Inventory

Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Logistics Controller - Inventory will effectively direct and lead the Inventory team, to complete all aspects of the Inventory teams’ requirements, including management of hold and stock material, picking and put away of materials, preparation and execution of load list requirements, accurate traceability of material through SAP and filed documentation to coach and grow knowledge and talent within the team. Key Responsibilities include:
•Act as client focal point for users both onshore and offshore, responding quickly and accurately to issues/queries, ensure compliance of all team operations, and all personnel with legislative standards as required by company procedure, HM Customs, IMDG, COSHH, Oil & Gas best practice etc;
•Manage Inventory team on a daily basis including task Completion, Holidays, performance and adhoc duties as required;
•Preparation of the load out / Back-load lists and update on a daily basis
•Expedite / action material lists and co-ordinate cargo movements accordingly;
•Liaise between transport/vendors regarding cargo movements;
•Create / Process all SAP system documents and resolve any discrepancies found.
•Preparation of SAP consignment notes – as required
•Investigate and resolve any issues and queries that may arise
•Ensure that any activity worked in other areas is managed in accordance with client expectations
•Develop and maintain a strong working relationships with client contacts
•Presents a positive image of the company through first class service delivery and customer engagement
•Liaise with clients on a daily basis and attend meetings / Toolbox Talks as necessary
•Ensure ‘End Users’ are kept updated as plans change
•Develop and maintain effective customer relationships
•If authorized to carry out lifting activities (Forklift Operations / Banksman & Slinger duties), ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Company’s Lifting Equipment Control and Operation Procedures (LECOP)

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
•Previous operational/logistics experience
