Freight Agent

The role will operate within Seletar, part of the ASCO Group. Seletar deliver professional ships agency services to the oil and gas, renewables and general cargo industries.
Based out of Aberdeen, the purpose of the role is to work as part of the Freight Agency team and primarily receive, handle and despatch client freight. Road, air and sea freight shipping methods are used when despatching freight to/from their respective destinations/origins.
Key responsibilities include:
•Ensure all freight is processed accurately using Aspire Shipping
•Plan and organise deliveries/shipments to ensure that deadlines are met
•Maintain records of all deliveries/shipments
•Ensure correct segregation and documentation of dangerous goods
•Send daily freight reports to clients
•Raise purchase orders using Microsoft Dynamics AX
•Loading and unloading of vehicles/racking safely
•Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Minimum Qualifications
•Good standard of general education
•Computer literate across the Microsoft Office Suite
